2018 - Factory Design - Factory Properties - parameter names need more space

Hello there,

I am working in Inventor Pro 2018 Factory Design.

In the Factory Properties I want to make more space to see the parameter names.

This works until I update the model, after which it jumps back to the old position.

Does anyone know if there is a way to let the Factory Properties remember the position of the parameter names space?

unfortunately there is no such functionality today 😞

A question: would you want it to maintain a specific width that you set manually, or would it be sufficient if it auto-fit to the text being shown?

Hi Oleg,

first of all, thank you for your quick reply.

Both would work for me. In Inventor 2016 it was possible to set the width manually. Simply by clicking and dragging the bar. Currently we still use Inventor 2016, but I have to test Inventor 2018 in order to switch to the newer version all together. This is the only thing I dislike about 2018 (so far).

Sorry for the experience. But there is something new in 2018.1, which, by the way, have you updated to? Check this out:

Now user are able to define names for the parameters, which are goint to be displayed in the factory properties palette. And a tooltip will appear to show more information if you hover the name for some while to give user better understanding of what this parameter is about. And it won't mess with the defination in Inventor parameters.
