Inventor 2015 Pro files cant be open by Inventor 2013

I am an student and received the program for free via my university.  My university is still currently working on Inverntor Pro 2013. When I finish my files and take them  to the university my files cant be  read by Inventor Pro 2013. Is there a solution? Please help. Im currently on Inventor Pro 2015

This question is more appropriate for the "Inventor General Discussion" forum, but I can give you the answer:

 

No, it's not possible.  Older versions of Inventor cannot open files saved by newer versions.  And newer versions cannot save-as-old-version.

 

Of course, one option is to get your university to upgrade.  It's free.

 

The other option is to save your files using one of the neutral-format options (IGES, STEP, etc.).
