Change material and appearance dropdown list widths

Would be helpful to be able to adjust the width of the material and appearance dropdown lists so longer names were visible or cause the dropdown to auto-size based on the longest name.

We create customs based on our stock materials and finishes so they can be automatically applied in our drawing title blocks.  We've got to be pretty specific with the names of several in order auto-populate our title blocks and the dropdown box width is limited, cutting off the descriptions so we've got to apply them just to see which one we're picking.  A lot of our paint finishes even have a specific mix code after the color so we get the same shade/sheen every time.

A couple of examples are: PLASTIC, POLYCARBONATE, ANTI-STATIC, CLEAR and PRIME AND PAINT, RESEDA GREEN, RAL-6011.

If there's a way to change the width now, that'd be great.

Posted on Inventor Ideastation. Took me a while because I couldn't post using Chrome or Firefox. Neither of them showed the post subject line so I could fill it in. Had to use Microsoft Edge and don't typically use that browser.

So did this ever get resolved? I have the same issue - the text descriptions don't  show up with enough window length to know what you are picking.

Just opened 2018 and the material and appearance drop down lists are still truncating the longer selections.  Unless there's a menu option to adjust them that I haven't found yet, I'd say it's still an open item
