Hello, i have encountered some weird files in the WI folder in the Autodesk folder. I know the WI folder is for installation files and the such but inside of it there are a few file folder with names that are a long series of numbers. These folders contain XZ files (which i have never encountered before) with names such as "pkg.access.tar.xz", "pkg.identity_manager.tar.xz" and "pkg.adp-desktop-sdk0". Are such files supposed to be in this folder? What are they? They show to have been created last month, but ive downloaded the software (Maya) back in 2019 and havnt even used it in years. My license is expired. They kinda worry me, so if anybody knows what they are id be glad. Thank you in advance
Hi @Shaha2020
Yes, the files under the C:\Autodesk folder are only for installation. It's ok to delete everything inside the Autodesk folder after the installation, including the WI (web installer) folder: https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Can-I-move-or-dele...
I'm not sure why the date shows a recent date. Do you still have some Autodesk products on your computer and have updated it recently?
Cheers,

Hello, thank you for responding.
No, i havnt downloaded or updated any autodesk products recently. i do have Maya downloaded, and havnt used it since 2020. I thought maybe it could just be an error, but there are a few of these xz files that show the same creation date (2.6) and also show to have been accessed very recently (7.7) even though i have not opened them. Is it possible that there was an auto update? How do i check?
