Hi guys,
I'm interested to run a Vault trial, but I don't want to set up a full 200Gb vault if the trial doesn't continue.
So can anyone recommend what the real minimum install requirements are? 20Gb? 100Gb?
We will only run through less than 1Gb of files initially anyway.

Hello @danmachen,
I just wanted to clarify with you, but there is no free trial for Vault. Is there a Vault trial being advertised somewhere other then our website?
Autodesk products are sold through the Autodesk EStore or by locating an authorized Reseller.
Please be careful when purchasing Autodesk product from sources outside of our authorized resellers center on our website.

No - we want to run Vault - and we will subscribe of course, but we may not run with the system in the long run because we have no idea if its any good (precisely because we cannot trial it)
You have Inventor yes?
Hello @danmachen,
Thanks for clarifying that you are aware there is no trial, to use Vault Client you have to have the Vault Server installed and setup.
Vault Basic downloads have been moved to fall under the specific products available to it, in this example Inventor Professional:
You can check out this video where they install it steps-by-step. The system requirements are provided so it seems you need something more, I recommend the Vault Installation Pre-checks it makes sure that the environment is ready for the Vault installation. If the system fails a pre-check during the pre-installation process, an error is displayed.
I hope this was helpful. 😊

Just to close this topic, for the initial install of Vault we were able to obtain a trial license and did not create the full 200Gb of required disk space which is recommended. Instead, we started with a more reasonable 10Gb. I think the install only used 2Gb to get a basic install complete.
Thanks for your replies.
