Hello,
I tried to follow the uninstallment advice given on Autodesk site, but does not work.
The two lines that need to be typed in at the terminal do not work.
I need to move it, to install it again. 😞
No way around.
Is there some other advice how to get everything removed?
Hi @ruediger.hahn,
Sorry about the trouble. Was this the recommended clean uninstall procedure you used? The terminal shouldn't be necessary to uninstall everything. I also recommend reinstall from the virtual agent.
Hello,
thanks for the support.
The advice how to uninstall mud box I did find was
but it does not uninstall all, otherwise a new install should not be a problem.
Hello,
followed you advice. Try to reinstall everything... now nothing at all works anymore!!
Totally stuck now.
Sorry to hear that @ruediger.hahn,
What exactly is happening during the reinstall? Could you provide a screenshot for more context?
Installation works fine. Just when You start the software, it a) just opens for a blimp or b) it crashes after a few seconds
There must be some hidden things. Removed an reinstalled a few times now.
Hi @ruediger.hahn,
So, your Mudbox Preferences or settings may have become corrupt on update, due to a system update. Have you tried deleting or renaming the Mudbox Preference folder? What OSX are you running? I will document this.
No worries. I am easy.
The link did recommend to remove all Autodesk programs, so I did.
But seems that I missed some hidden folders. Because installation was possible but starting just
caused a little glow on the screen and it was gone. But it seems after mixing advices with what to remove,
it now works fine again. If there is still something left that should not be there, with the next OS update I will
get it removed.
Thank You very much for Your time and advice.
Maybe one more question: if I downloaded things just this week, does it mean that service packs are now already included
or do I still need to run the installation?
The advice given on the autodesk site to install is to delete the programs first. 🙂
Hi @ruediger.hahn,
The service packs need to be applied separately from the initial download. Also just to note, on Windows platforms, the Autodesk Application Manager periodically synchronizes with newer versions of Mudbox as they become available, and attempts to update the application. On other platforms, you must apply updates manually.
I got a same problem...But I couldn't fixed it
How did you do it?
If you have some advice could you tell me please??
thank you
