I tried installing various MS patches, .NET components V06, V08 runtimes etc.

doesnt help.

It does let me unindtall teh Webviewer 2 that I am advised by teh Autodesk comm to uninstall, instead there is only a repair option. Tried that, still nothing

Woes betide me.

Hi, I have the same problem. The above solutions do not help. I formatted the disk, reinstalled the system and autocad civil 2025. It helped, but after 2 days the problem returned. I think it is related to a Windows update. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Microsoft has a trouble shooter for programs that don't install / uninstall.

I fixed it, Juan.

Just re-installed it.

It's messy and the uninstallation process is patchy and incomplete, but simply installing the damned thing anew fixed it.

Yes, after reinstall all, I also install this package:

I fixed it on two computers.

HI @20128882

I would recommend putting in a Support Ticket. The article for a lot of users isn't working for 2025 software. I'm seeing about 10 tickets a day for 2025 AutoCAD and LT.  It seems to be due to a Windows update.

2024 yet works fine ...

Hi All,

Please excuse the delay in my response.

thank you all for your responses.

Short answer: I fixed this issue by uninstalling whatever the heck the OS permitted me to uninstall of AutoCAD (and Autodesk and anything else with the Auto-moniker) and carried out a full Install, and it worked.

FYI, The attempts at patching with Runtime this and that bore no fruit.

Post-Script

I also did a system restore to a point preceding my (somewhat hasty) uninstalling of webviewer etc  that caused this issue at the outset.

So, my observation, for what its worth is, is to not mess with MS processes if I want to keep AutoCAD functioning normally.

After trying a lot of things, I followed mdavis22569 advice and I put a ticket in. They fixed it in less than 30 min. This fix was for AutoCAD LT 2025.

What did they end up doing @Juan_Ortega57DLF

They did a few different things through the CMD command. All I can say is that all they did was above my pay grade and they did not do/redo any of the things I had done trying to fix the problem. I'm glad I called them. There is no way I would have ever figured out on my own.
