Hi, I'm a teacher at a school and I have for some time been downloading the install package and transferring it to a number of USB's to allow multiple students to install at one time. Every now and again I got the error attached, however now I seem to be getting it all the time on every USB. To download during school time takes hours, not all students have very good internet access at home and they can be forgetful of needing to download it and have it installed before the next lesson. Over the weekend I downloaded it again using AutoDesk Download Manager and transferred it to multiple USB's and I'm still getting the error when I go to install any of the 3 packages - AutoCAD, Inventor & Revit. I'm using a combination of USB 2.0 & USB 3.0 USB's. Can you help me please.
Thanks Jo

Hi @waitesj
This can usually be resolved by copying the installer to the local hard drive ( C:\) and then running the installation from that location. See: Prompted to insert disc when installing from USB or DVD. Please follow the steps in this solution: Installing Inventor from USB drive is blocked by disc insertion message. Let us know if it works.
Of course, it was one of the things I was hoping to not need to do, as it just adds to the time the install takes + all the other stuff students put on their devices leaving limited space for the software they need to use.
Thanks & I will continue using this fix.
