Serial number for students - CAD 2021

I am studying Architecture and I am trying to activate the license of the Autocad 2021 and I can not get it. If this version for students is free why does it ask for a serial number?

I can not find it anywhere. I would like to know what is the serial number of activation for the Autocad 2021, because I did not find it in the Autodesk site. Now, I have a license for only 30 days and the student license is for 1 year.

Check this link for instructions to obtain an educational license. You’ll need to verify your current education enrollment with Autodesk, then get an educational license.

I have the same issue and I pressed the link you provided within your message, however, it tells me "Your educational access to Autodesk products is valid through November 6, 2021. Choose a product below." It lets me choose a product directly without going any steps further yet when I sign in to AutoCAD it still says that I don't have a license on my account.

I am a student user. I download the AutoCAD 2020 from the website but after installing it, on the screen I have seen a message " The trial version is no longer available, get the latest trial to explore the new features."

2021 isn't available unfortunately for educational licensing.  You have access to 2025 and 3 prior.    

If I can ask, why 2021 and not 2025 the current version?
