SamReport options

Is it possible to generate any reports other than the "Usage Report" using
SamReport Lite? I may be doing something wrong, but that seems to be the
only option that is enabled for me. If that's all it can do, it's pretty
useless. The full version seems like an aweful lot of money for what should
be a fairly simple reporting tool. Nice of them to encrypt the data so we
have no other options.

He sells a FlexReport tool which some users say is very good.
If your question is why doesn't the free license manager include all that the company has to offer you will have to ask them.

Why would I ask the sellers of FlexReport about SamReport?

Excuse me for being too cryptic.
You should ask Macrovision why they don't include more with their licensing arrangement with Mother ACAD.

My original question was regarding the limitations of SR-Lite, not a query
for other monitoring tools or a query about why. I understand why and I
know there are other options out there, which is why I didn't ask those
questions.

i am sorry if i seem a little bitter but, i just typed a reply to this and when i hit post it wanted me to login again and i lost my message. i almost passed out from the blood rushing to my head.
but here it goes again.
i am also wondering why they would include a useless tool like the SamReport lite with AutoCAD. i don't know why anyone would need to know the total amount of hours AutoCAD is being used (its not a boat). i would like to know if there is any way to see the amount of licenses used daily, that's all. i don't think i should have to pay $6,180 for a year and then 20% to keep up with AutoCAD releases.
i just dont get it.

I Agree that the SamReport is stupid. For the amount of money spent on each AutoCAD product, you'd think that they (AutoDesk) would provide better functionality for reporting.

Re the number of hours report. Some clients require us to provide the number of hours per month per user to check against the bill rate for CAD.

We should all move to Microstation. They use SelectServer, a web based application for license checkout and monitoring, that kick's but over SamReport. Best of all, it's FREEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

well, i am not haveing the probelm for users since we enter our time in per client jobe codes that have sub codes for cad use. and since cad operators switch jobs through out the day the license monitoring tool wouldn't help for itemizing for what they worked on. but i would like to know how often i get license denies. is it every day around 11:00 or once a week like on friday at 2:00.
i did find a way to use the schedule tasks with a bat file that runs every minute. lmutil with lmstat and the > to a text file then from that text file a findstr and >> to a new text file.
it gives me a text file that has the date, time, and number of licenses used. then i use excell with a get external data link to process that into a chart.
