All,
AdLM does NOT see the NetBIOS name at all! It sees hostnames which are
different than NetBIOS named although some systems they are the same. Most
systems the NetBIOS name will be uppercase and the hostname will be the same
but lower case. The hostname is case sensitive. Sometimes auxiliary naming
services will resolve a hostname typed in the wrong case and make AdLM work,
this can cause performance and stability problems if you are setting
ACADSERVER with the "@" option or to get across routers.
As for the IP address change causing a change in server code, it will happen
on some systems. AdLM binds its authentication using an algorithm based on
the parameter information available to it.
