Is it possible to have multiple profiles for a Deployment in AutoCAD 2022? The website has only one arg option.

If not is there a location where the default profiles are stored? In previous versions it was in the Local Computer area of the registry, but it looks like it was moved to another location.

Hello @Christopher.Fugitt

The ability to add multiple profiles directly in the customization section of a Autodesk deployment is not recommended or available. You could create a synchronized shared folder of profiles with each user and map the paths to that folder on their local drive.

Thanks. This will go into my long list of reasons not to recommend Autodesk as a software provider.

Yes this is possible. In the dialog you just define the first profile, all other profiles just copy the the same folder where the first profile is located. The Autodesk installer gets all profiles from that folder and also creates shortcuts on the desktop.

That works.

Do you know of a way to stop the creation of the desktop shortcuts?

Oops, just overlooked your new question, but just check the image I already added to my previous answer:

and for the case, that you already have created your deployment you can change the settings through the "collection.xml" file:

Thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately the check box does not prevent the profiles in the Custom_Profiles folder from being created. I wish it did. It does control the desktop icons for the Autodesk standard profiles.

Just looked at the "AcInstCfg.exe" and I could not find a method to disable the creation of the desktop shortcuts. But as workaround you can just delete the created shortcuts from %PUBLIC%\Desktop
