I am attempting to install 3DS MAX on my windows 8.1 laptop but when it comes to installing it demands i turn off monitor.exe. I have tried the command thing and it still doesnt work. It tells me: ERROR: The process "monitor.exe?" not found. I've searched my whole laptop at this point and cant find it. What do I do?

I have tried both of these methods and neither has worked. It is not in task manager and I have done the second method multiple times and it still refuses to work.

Hello @Anonymous,
Sorry about that, try a shut down of the computer and power up again.

Sometimes you will find it as registry_monitor or sometime like that. To make sure just make right click when you find the file on the task bar and the click on open file location. It will open a explorer window showing monitor.exe. If you see the monitor.exe as I said. Just go back to the taskbar and then make click on registry_monitor and then make click on end task
