Model not loading AutoDesk Viewer

Hi,

I have recently come across AutoDesk viewer, and uploded a few models.

Everything worked fine last week but this week the model is stuck on loading.

I uploaded the model again and same problem. I also uploaded a different model. Same problem.

I have a few questions.

1. Is there an issue with AutoDesk viewer platform?

2. Do I violate any terms if I embed the viewer in an iFrame on my business website?

3. Do I violate any terms if I link an AutoDesk logo to their products page?

Hi @Anonymous,

 

Let's focus first on your viewer.autodesk.com problems before I try to change down the legal stuff for you. Can you tell me which application you used to create the OBJ files?  Can you share a sample OBJ that behaves like this when you try to use the viewer?

Can you try accessing these models again?  They now appear to be working for me. I am not sure what has changed over the day but they show up fairly quickly for me.

Hi John,

you're right, they are working now., perhaps there was an issue with the platform.

If you wouldn't mind answering one more question.

Do I violate any terms if I embed the viewer in an iFrame on my business website?

Hi @Anonymous,

 

I am not sure about the legalities/licensing on embedding in your web page.  I tried to view the Terms on the viewer page but it was a blank.  I will move this thread to Installation and Licensing with the hopes that they can provide any necessary licensing information.

One thing you can't re-use, is the logo...  Unless you have the rights from Autodesk to do that.  In addition I believe you also can't re-use the Autodesk viewer in your web-pages.   But I could be wrong on that front.

I have noticed that Adsk view can take a few hours to upload especially if complecated, would be appreciated if a status was sent to say our viewer is fully operational.
