We are having a problem with Maya just shutting down with no errors.
We work only in NURB surfaces
-Set up project through file/project/new use all default settings (does not crash in this step)
-Selecting or duplicating curves or surfaces (has crashed in this step)
-Building EP & CV curves using default setting on those tools in the Create tab (has crashed in this step)
-Building NURB surfaces using all tools in the Surfaces tab, main tools used Birail, boundary, loft (has crashed in this step)
-Cutting & attaching & rebuilding curves using the tools in the edit curves tab (has crashed in this step)
-Attaching & detaching & rebuilding surfaces also projecting curves on surfaces using the tools in the edit NURBS tab (has crashed in this step)
The crashes will happen any time when using any of the above tools. Sometimes the crash will happen after the tools action is performed (Maya will freeze for a second than crash) but mostly it will crash when the tool is in use.
After the crash there is no error report. When you start up Maya after the crash and open the file that was being work on you see that you have lost data (saves) between 2 & 4 saves back and also all preference/project setups are back to default.
I have run a full RAM test and everything came back good.
