I am trying to install Maya 2018 and it seems it doesn't go past the initializing phase. I tried both the web installer and the Desktop app, but still no success. I had Maya 2017 installed prior to this and I had no problems with it. Can anyone help me?
It's stuck like this for hours now.

There's a couple of ways to properly download and install your Autodesk product to your machine. Please review this article and the solution it provides. However I don't believe Maya 2018 is on the Autodesk VIrtual Agent so you need to use the other method as indicated in that article.
If the installation does fail using the preferred methods, please post your installation log file here so we can review it.
Posting info: Sometimes the installation log file contains the serial # that was assigned to you. Open your log file using Windows Notepad and perform a search on "/SN". Depending on the number of installation attempts, your serial # may be located throughout the log file. If present, remove or "X" out your serial # prior to posting.
Good luck on your installation and report back on your progress.

I've tried everything! Same thing! I download the files, run the extractor, and it just quits during the initializing phase. I tried installing the Autodesk Pre-Requisite Checker, but to no avail. It won't install either! Same exact issue! I'm running the installer on a virtual machine on a remote server (a remote render farm)...

I did the following (as per the article):
I checked the logs in %temp% and this is what I see:

No errors, nothing. Just "Setup ended. " I originally tried this on Windows 2014 Server, but installed Windows 10 Pro because I thought Server was the culprit. The company I am working with says this has never been an issue with Maya, so I'm not sure why I'm having issues with it. Any ideas? I'm not able to find any solutions online, and I've been researching and messing around with it for 2 days.
