i am on a mac os sierra

i downloaded maya 2017 install and registration went fine

but crashes on startup

stand alone student registration

I'm not a MAC User but I would suggest trying some of the thing mentioned here then report back your findings.

License was not obtained Tried Maya 2016 (657H1 2016.0.0.F), error 20 License method: environment variable MAYA_LICENSE_METHOD='standalone' Product choice: environment variable MAYA_LICENSE='unlimited' License file override: environment variable MAYA_ALT_EN is not set

i gave up on maya 2017 as it crashed on opening

and download 2016 but got this message above

sorry no tried a few things

installing and uninstalling

went back to 2016 and hit the above problem
