Licence verification for Clients

Hello,

we are a software company that creates an add-on for AutoCAD. The users download our software and then load the cuix.

As part of our contract with AutoCAD we have to verify that the users of our software have legitimate license of AutoCAD.

So far we have been doing this by collecting their AutoCAD serial numbers and there are only a few cracked serial numbers out there, so it was easy to identify.

But with the move of AutoCAD to have it as a login all serial numbers are now xxx-xxxxxxxx so far this one is not cracked, as far as we know but it seems like we are going to run into problems in the future.

Is there another way to verify from our side if our users are using legitimate licences? This seems to be a particular problem in Latin America.

Cheers, Eva

not really since its going to be based off your Autodesk Account

if they are using cracks then a serial number would be needed you can still check if the serial number is valid

unless you work for a reseller or Autodesk you cannot verify serial numbers

not quite sure what you mean by this:

But with the move of AutoCAD to have it as a login all serial numbers are now xxx-xxxxxxxx so far this one is not cracked, as far as we know but it seems like we are going to run into problems in the future.

What problems do you think you will run into?
