Inventor License File?

Hi there,

I'm trying to install Inventor for my school and I have the e-mail with serial key and product key that I received when I signed up for the licenses. I've installed the network license manager software and I need a license file. It says I should go to "Quick Links" section of the management portal and then click "Generate Network License File"

As you can see I don't have that option, and also Inventor is not listed in my products list and I've no idea why when this is the account I used to activate the license. I've been to https://registeronce.autodesk.com/ and entered my serial/product keys and I just get the following error:

"Thanks for initiating your product activation. The system encountered a problem registering or activating your product. Please submit your registration information to us in a Customer Service request and an Autodesk representative will contact you."

When I click the link for "Customer service request" the link does absolutely nothing (I've tried IE, Chrome and Firefox!)

I must say this is the most unnecessarily complicated licensing procedure I have ever come across, and I do network installs as a job! And trying to find a number/email address to contact support has proved impossible. Hoping you can help!

Thanks

Hello trinityacademy and welcome to the Autodesk community!

If you’re having trouble with the activation email, please note that sometimes the email can be accidentally routed to your spam or junk folder. Please check there.

Also, please note that you should be able to access your download and activation information by logging into Autodesk Accounts.

If you cannot access software in your account and need to download it now, please go to the Virtual Agent.

If none of those items helped, please submit a support request as follows:

Students should request to have the confirmation email resent via this form.

If you are having trouble with your Autodesk Account or an eStore purchase, please visit our order support page where you will be able to chat with a representative or submit a support request.

Welcome to the community...

What you're seeing is the cloud services assigned to your account.  But at the same time the image clearly shows that you're seeing a "user" account.  Most time when I see this it means the credentials used are incorrect.  However this is a peer to peer network where users are assisting other users like yourself.  We have no access to your information and/or troubleshoot issues your Autodesk Account.   Since this is an Educational Account you must speak with the related support team.   Also when you signed up for your Educational Account you did pick Educational Institution and not a student account?

Thanks for the support request link that actually works!! Haha

Yes I signed up as an IT administrator and created the account and selected our educational institution, so not idea why it's doing what it's doing!
