Installation Issues

Hi All!

I just purchased a new HP Envy and I am trying to download the AutoCad LT.  It keeps coming back with an installation error.  Has anyone else run into this issue?  If so, how did you fix it?

Thank you!

Miriam

Hi @Anonymous and welcome to Autodesk Community!

Sorry you are having issues with the installation.

What is the error message you are getting? Also have you turned your anti-virus and firewall off? Just to make sure that is not blocking the installation.

Yes I tried all of those. I went to someone's house and it happened to
work so I am up and running again!!

Thank you so much for getting back to me!

Morning!

The program just kept saying that there was an installation failure. I
looked through all the notes from the installation and it said that the C++
failed to install and that other steps were skipped.

The only thing we were able to come up with is that I installed it at
another location with another router who's ports were open correctly for
this program.

I don't understand any of these issues and I am not the first to give
pointers on what I did right. It just finally worked.

Sorry I can't be more helpful in solving other issues.

Thanks!

Find and post your installation log file: it's found in your WIndows Log-in Temp folder, with the file extension LOG.
