How to Renew Access for Education Licenses

The time is coming up where many of you will need to renew your access to the Education licenses - so here's how to do it!

Your access to the Education plan will expire at the end of one-year. You can renew your access annually as long as you are eligible.

Thirty days before the expiration of your one-year Education plan access, you'll be sent an email reminder. You can also find your expiration date in the personalized banner notification when you sign in to your account on the Autodesk Education Community website.

If you do not renew your access, your free access will end when your Education plan expires. If you have files stored in Drive, you can continue to access them, but you will not be able to edit them or upload new files.

Note: Documents stored in Autodesk cloud service remain available for 30 days after your Education plan access expires. Be sure to retrieve any files stored in Autodesk cloud service before the end of this period.

To renew access:

  1. Make sure you are still eligible for educational access by reviewing who is eligible.
  2. On the Autodesk Education Community website, sign in to your account.
  3. Click Renew Now in the personalized banner notification.
  4. Once you confirm your eligibility, your access will be automatically extended for another year. Any product subscriptions that you hold will also be automatically extended for another year.

To restart access:

If your access has already expired and you are still eligible, you can restart your educational access.

  1. On the Autodesk Education Community website, sign in to your account.
  2. Click Restart Access in the personalized banner notification.
  3. Once you confirm your eligibility, your access will be automatically extended for another year.

Once you've renewed or restarted access, there's no need to download a new version of your installed software unless you want the latest version.

Hi,

I followed all of you instructions. My license will expire in a month, but I still can't find any banner in my account. Could you let me know where to find it?

Hi @s1982568,

Thanks for the screenshot. That's Autodesk Account. You'll need to visit the Education Community Get Products page to see your education eligibility status and expiration date. From there, you can click any product card (Get product ->  DOWNLOAD or ACCESS for Fusion 360) to refresh your subscription, if you need to renew it.

Does that help?

Regards,

Gabe

Hi @dyg.ozturkk,

Go to https://www.autodesk.com/education/edu-software/overview
Click the Sign In at the centre of the page:
Edu Sign in.PNG
A banner with your name should appear, and then an option to reverify should be visible as you are within the one month period.

I enter the place shown, but first it says it has been renewed for 12 months, then it ends 1 month later.

Hi,
When I try to download software my account states  that: "We still need to confirm your eligibility for educational access to Autodesk products. ".

When I press the get started button it shows:

1130984_0-1665399738075.png

But still doesn't allow to make the download stating that account has not been verified.

I've contacted SheerID but they say that the account has been verified from their side and the issue should be in autodesk side:

When following the listed steps trying to renew the license for educational access, the second place to sign in located in the middle of the screen does not appear and neither does the customized banner. Clicking "Get Product" on any of the available products does not redirect me anywhere either. Does anyone have any thoughts as to why this happens or any troubleshooting advice? Thanks

What if the sign in at the centre of the page does not even appear?

We are an institution that has Revit and Inventor access set up via network license servers.  We are currently unable to set this up without a new serial number.  When I go to view products and details there are no licenses shown.  Our entire High School curriculum uses this and we cannot set up the server without this serial number and I'm not hearing anything back from our ticket, and the support staff don't have a clue on how to assist.  I've downloaded the network license 5 times already without any success on getting our serial number.

hi, same problem here. Please help, Im trying to renew my Autocad student access.

First picture: I have logged in to my autodesk account, and clicked get started.

second picture: result after the first picture.

third picture: I scrolled down to click "get started" on the autocad section.

fourth picture: Lead to nowhere.

Has anyone experience the same. Seen my friends's renewing their autocad student license earlier and it immediately lead to somewhere with an email notifying that their student access has been renewed. Please help..

Now it has been extended for 1 year, but when I enter the autocad 2023 application, it still says it expires after 23 days.

How do I look up message 373? Could you provide a link?

I am still having issues with random students getting a "license check out
timed out" message, even though I have assigned them the software and we
have reinstalled the software on the computer.

Scroll up and over to older pages seem to work just fine. Give it a try.
