Downloading 3ds max since 12 hours

Hello, 

I have a question considering the download of the 3ds Max program.

I'm downloading the program since 12 hours now and it says that there are 14 hours more to go.

Did that happen to anyone of you and is that alright that way?

The speed will depend on your internet. On an average broadbank package I would expect it to only take an hour or two at the most.

If you are about half way and are willing to wait another 14 hours and it is slowly downloading you might be best just waiting.

If you dont think its the speed of your internet you can always cancel the download and start again and see if its any faster.

Also you can download the full offline installer from the Autodesk virtual agent found here:

Just be aware if you cancel the download and you do just hae really slow internet you might have to wait the first 12 hours again.

Welcome to the community..

You are using a unreliable method..  Meaning you're trying to download and install at the same time, thus the long expected installation.

Like @markcalloway pointed out just use the Autodesk Virtual Agent or

Download and install per:

1. Access the Autodesk Virtual Agent and follow the download links to your product.
2. Download all of the parts (some applications only have a single part to download) for your product first. Do not continue until all of the parts have fully downloaded.
3. Navigate to your download folder location and extract (double click) part _001_00X.sfx.exe (or the single file download).
4. In a few seconds the extraction will start and prompt you to extract to C:\Autodesk.
5. Once the extraction is finished, the installation will automatically start.
6. Follow the installation steps for your product

However if the installation does fail using this method, please post your installation log file here so we can review it.  Posting info: Sometimes installation log files contain personal information such as your serial #.  Prior to posting your log file please make sure to remove such info.

Hello,After downloading the files as you mentioned how to do it, i opened 3ds Max and there is this message "Unknown property: Visualstylemode is undefined." I just installed the first part. Is that ok? I think that the second part of the downloaded two files is automatically being installed because i tried to install the second part too, but it didnt work. Am I right about that?Do you know what i have to do about that visualstylemode notification now? I really hope you can help me again.
