Download Manager does nothing

I'm attempting to download an install the updated product releases and when I click the download button I get the window saying  the download manager will first download and install which will then automatically begin my download.  That never happens and the site just gets hung up on the Thank you screen.

This needs to be resolved, it's obviously an issue many people are experiencing.

You can try using a different browser or in the mean-time I would recommend that you try downloading your product using the virtual assistant by following the directions here:

Thanks for the response.  That seems to be downloading but extremely slow and will take some time.  Certainly not the most userfriendly method of install.

As part of my adventures in getting my software updated here are just some of the issues I've come across.

The download manager freezes on this screen.  I thought, ok, I'll click the install now help you see in the below screen.

Click the help link

Well that was helpful.  Onto the next attempt in a search to get resolution.  I went through the knowledge based support to get help and see I can talk to an agent, but when you click that it takes you to another screen.  It shows an agent is available.

autodesk_download_issues3.jpg

But, no agent.

autodesk_download_issues4.jpg

So now, lets find a tech support line to call...

autodesk_download_issues5.jpg

Clicked the "Help with installation and licensing" link above.  And this is help page:

autodesk_download_issues6.jpg

All of this after the main 3 download and install options fail.

I bet you can imagine how extremely frustrated I am.  I hope some Autodesk employees actually take note of this ridiculous path users I going down to get help and to download their products.

Fabulous.  Just realized that the 2016 version which I'm attempting to update to is not available in that virtual agent download.  Awesome.

In your first screenshot i can see you are in Autodesk Account... https://accounts.autodesk.com

Instead of using Download Now or Install Now from AA for the product, use Browser Download instead. Go to "More Actions" and you should see it in the list, you will have far more success with Browser Download.

Hi,

I did the browser download, after the same issues described aboved. I was able to dowload five files. When I double click "Autodesk_Infrastructure_Design_Suite_premium_2016_EN_Win_64bit_DLM_001_005.sfx.exe" for installation, it pops up the "Autodesk Self-Extract" which sits at the screen below and then eventually crashes.

I've tried the installation twice. Is this related to the backend download issue too? Should I just wait to install or am I doing something wrong?

Also, when you click on the information button to get help, the link points to a website that says "Access Denied" see the images below.

Thanks!

I've been having this same problem with "Autodesk Self-Extractor (or it might have said "Download Manager"?) has Stopped Working" after downloading (via browser) the five .exe files for the 2016 Product Design Suite Premium.  Did you ever get it to work (if so, how)?  I'd rather not have to order installation media for their "nominal" charge when we've already paid for the software to start with...  Already spent too much time on this issue.  Thanks.

I had the same issue, but after extracting all in sequential order, the last one, 003 of 003 in my case, opened up the installer and Autodesk AutoCAD Design Suite Standard 2016 was successfully installed.
