Does borrowing a license in a specific version matter?

Hello,

I have a situation where someone has borrowed a 2019 AutoCAD license.  They then try to use 2018 AutoCAD and the computer doesn't see that they have a borrowed license.  Are borrowed licenses specific to the version in which it was borrowed?

There was an issue in the past about this..  What version of the license manager do you have?   Also are these AutoCAD's coming from an AutoCAD license or Collection?

They are on the latest LMTools, and it is pulling from either a Collection, as well as they have AutoCAD w/ Spec. Tools.   Could there possibly be a cascading issue?

Are they borrowing so they can leave the office or borrowing just to have a license?

I've seen some odd issues..

So they are on 11.16.2.0 version of the license manager?

Has anybody reviewed the log file that's specified on the Config Service tab of LMTOOLS?

They were borrowing to work remotely.  Had to go back to the office, open 2018 and then borrow a license from there.

I will also get with them to look at their log file, and see what may be going on there.

@Mark.Lancaster It has been confirmed that it is locked to what version you borrow the license from.  What may be unknown is if you have a borrowed license from say a suite or collection if you have access to the whole kit for that year.
