Civil 3D 2018 Deployment product key and Network License issue

Hi I'm trying to create a 2018 deployment with a network license. The serial number I enter has a green check next to it, but the product key I entered has a red x next to it. I checked online to see if this was the right key for 2018 because we usually use the same key for our 2016 installs. Under 2018 it says "Included with Network License"

 

When I run the install normally it doesn't ask for the license # or key or any information until after the install where it gives you the three options on how to activate it. 

 

The only way I can go forward with the deploy is by selecting Autodesk ID ( Use a license assigned to a user). 

Is there anyway to get this to work with my network license?

Hello, 

 

As you have a networked license, it won't activate the same way a standalone would. You need to generate a Network License File (.lic) in order to activate this on your machines. This file is put into your server and grants access to all devices on your network. 

 

You can do this from within your Autodesk account by selecting Products and Services > Select the product and version you want to activate > Generate Network License File > Enter Server Information.

 

After you enter your server info, it will give you an updated license file that you can put into your server in order to get access. 

 

You can also request a home use license if you'd like to take one of the seats of your networked licenses from the server for use on a personal device. This can be done here: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/customer-service/account-management/users-software/home-use/request-h...

Hi @Anonymous  - Please use the product key 237J1 while creating the deployment for Civil 3D 2018 , also please refer to the below article for a list of product keys for 2018 release and other supported releases -
