Can't Register products in Education

After being able to register Autocad 2024, none of the other products I have tried to register will work.  I am able to get serial numbers., I can add them via Registeronce, it seems to go through, but they never show up in the Manage portal.  I opened a support case (20790652), but I can't access the support portal either, I keep getting redirected to https://autodesk.secure.force.com/OpenCustomerPortal/SSOErrorPage.  I don't know if anyone has even gotten to my case yet because of this.

Hi @thecat,

Can you see if your license appears under this link?

It does not appear under the link.  I attempted to register the following 4 products: AutoCAD 2024, Revit 2024, Electrical 2024, and Civil 3d 2024.  Only AutoCAD 24 showed up.

Ok, the plot thickens.  I was using Chrome.  The Registeronce page doesn't complete the process under Chrome.  Edge and Firefox with a "clean" cache seem to complete the process.

Now I have license files for the 2024 versions of the products I need, but they are still not appearing under https://manage.autodesk.com/products

I still cannot access my support case either, it still brings me to https://autodesk.secure.force.com/OpenCustomerPortal/SSOErrorPage

Edit:  Let me clarify.  I can download the "individual" installer for those applications.  I need to create a managed installer to deploy via MECM (SCCM).

Hi @thecat,

Unfortunately, institutional licenses aren't included in https://manage.autodesk.com/products.

Now that the licenses are registered, they should appear here.

Hey Leo,

AutoCAD 2024 does allow me to do an administrative install.  Why is this the case and the others do not?

Edit: I should note that we've been able to do this in years past without issue.  Why was this feature taken away this time?

Hi @thecat,

Can you share a screenshot of where this option would normally be present? I'm not aware of any changes to deployments - I'll ask around as soon as I have more details.

All the best,

Hey Leo,

Here is what I see with https://manage.autodesk.com/products and https://manage.autodesk.com/products/deployments
AutoCAD 2024 is at the top of the list, the second screenshot is proof that I managed to create a custom install for distribution.  If you want I can tell you all the products I see on the https://manage.autodesk.com/products, but the only one that I registered was AutoCAD, the others seemed to be there by default.  I know we were able to get the other products I mentioned here in the past because I still have those packages available to deploy via MECM/SCCM.  The internal structure of the software share is the same as what is created when I make a custom install for AutoCAD 2024, it doesn't look like the individual download that I get from https://www.autodesk.com/education/edu-software/ (they have a .sfx extention and come in multiple pieces).

I also attached a screenshot of the "Custom Install" Button appearing when I click on AutoCAD 2024.

Hi @thecat,

The Education Team got back to me - they can see the products now in your account and so you should be able to create a deployment if you haven't already,

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Leo, thank you for your help.  I saw the notifications on Sunday that they had been added to the account and I spend Sunday and yesterday packaging them.

This begs the question, is there an approval period that has to pass before software can be authorized?  The reason I ask is that my predecessor didn't leave me the best of notes and I found 3 more products that we regularly install in our labs that I registered yesterday which haven't showed either.  If I just have to wait a week and a half for them to appear, pending approval, that's fine, that should leave me just enough time to package them for our Fall classes.  But I am concerned that they only got approved because of your intervention.  If so, could you work your magic just one more time?

Either way, I really do appreciate you looking into this for me.  You have been exceptionally helpful.

Hi @thecat,

I just found out from our education team that there's unfortunately a lag between the serial number being assigned and the product being available on the custom installer.

I'm sorry for the disruption caused, hopefully next time will go smoother but you can reach me @leowarren-edu if need help 🙂

Hi Leo,

Once again, thank you.  It's good to know that there is a delay between.  Next year I'll register sooner knowing this.

You're awesome, have a great day!
