Can't get a student license for 3ds Max 2016

I'm trying to get astudent license for 3ds Max 2016. I'm getting the error in the picture at the link below.

I tried this same thing about 3 days ago with the same error. I installed the software and am currently using the trial (so I have successfully installed it an it works).

The only thing that I can think that could cause this (aside from some other internal error) is the fact I previously used this account to get a student version of 3ds Max in the distant past (at least 3 years ago). I'm still a student just now in college. I have a student email as well as a student ID for verification if necessary.

None of these seem to point to a solution to the problem but did provide me with some useful information.
