AutoCAD - licence won't activate.

I have a full version of AutoCAD LT 2012, and an upgrade version of LT 2014.

I have had a major issue with my PC and I have had to do a clean install of windows.

The problem is I installed LT 2012, but it will not let me run it. I used the correct Seral No and Product key at installation. Now it will not let me active it online. The message reads "it is not eligible for online activation"

I have clicked the other link - Use another method, and had to fill in all my account details. But I have no idea how long that takes? I don't even know if they will bother to get back to me?

Until this is resolved I can't use AutoCAD or install the Upgrade to 2014.

Does anyone have any help to get this sorted ASAP?

Gary.

Hi @Anonymous,

Since your AutoCAD LT 2012 was already upgraded to AutoCAD LT 2014, you won't be able to activate the 2012 version online, thus you would need to submit a request for manual activation instead, depending on the eligibility.

With regard to the issue you are facing with installing AutoCAD LT 2014, what exact error or problem are you facing? You may also try downloading the software from our Virtual Agent instead and see if that helps resolve the issue you are facing.

I hope this helps. Let us know how it goes. Thank you.

You can install LT2014 without the need to install LT2012 first: that's always been an ability.

LT2012 is dead if you used it to get a discounted upgrade price to LT2014: that's the price you pay for the discount.
