I'm having AutoCAD 2023 crash often on multiple computers. Turning off AutoSave seems to lessen the frequency dramatically, but it still happens. AutoCAD freezes, claims to be Not Responding in Task Manager, and will stay that way until I End Task. The freezes are random, but occasionally followed by a command like freeze layer or hatch object (pick a point).
All the computers are 64 bit Windows 10 Pro with latest updates and builds. Graphics cards vary, but ram is typically 32GB or more.
I tried AutoCAD 2023 on a Windows 11 Pro machine and experience the same issue, but more frequently. I've updated the C++ on this machine, and it initially helped, but it's back to freezing and simply closing itself. It seems to close when it does an Autosave. I'm able to recover the drawing where I left off, but it is becoming quite tedious.
All files are saved on a Windows Server.
Are dwg accessed from server or locally? If from server have you tried testing dwgs locally?
Can you share a few of the 3dconfigs / ABOUT dialog boxes?
All of them have certified cards? Updates installed ( All of them)
Also, permissions granted for the required URLs?
Any addin's?
Can you share what I asked?
CPU
GPU
Ram
File location?
ABOUT and 3DCONFIG dialog boxes

I've been on the phone with our reseller's tech support, but we're not getting a solution after trying several times. I'm surprised no one else is having a similar issue.
Interesting: in our offices most use variants of AutoCAD2023, some still hanging on to 2022 due to attachments to 3rd party add-ons, many of us have VT and/or Plex-Earth2023 And/or Raster Design, all of us on Win10Pros, WinServers for file storage, no one is crashing with any regularity at all last year or this so far.
What all have you tried? Curious why turning off autosave limits the crashes too, did you change something there that is different from the OOTB settings?
Assuming all your 2022s and 2023s are fully updates at your end (2022.1.3 / 2023.1.2), perhaps all of your video cards could use some relief by setting GFXDX12 variable to 0 (that's a zero) then restarting AutoCAD2022/2023.
DX12 is not an option in the older 2021s.
You can also start GRAPHICSCONFIG command then change the 2D Display Settings pulldown from "advanced mode" to one of the other choices in the 2022s/2023s.
Does turning off Hardware Acceleration as a quick test help at all?
I would suggest at some point you also start a support ticket with Autodesk direct through your subscription portal as explained here https://knowledge.autodesk.com/customer-service/account-management/users-software/support-options#:~....
