Hi @Anonymous,

Is this a standard or education license?

Do you have an Arnold license or just a Maya license?

It is a standard license, not educational.
It's the Media Entertainment package, which includes an Arnold license.
The Arnold diagnostic manager says the license isn't registered.
Can't get help from Autodesk. I've been trying for four weeks.
Any suggestions welcome.
Thanks!

Those instructions work fine in Maya 2020, but in Maya 2018, none of the
Arnold licensing menus are there, nor is there an Arnold/Maya2018 folder
installed in the Autodesk folder on my hard drive, so no License
Manager, so I can't change my license to Single User or check my
registration.
I have to use 2018 on some shots because the character rigs aren't
backwards compatable in 2020...
anyway, thanks for trying. Nobody can solve it, not from Autodesk or
from SolidImage.
Don't know how to proceed...

Post a screenshot of your watermark please, let's make sure we are all talking about the same thing.

And are you alone the one and only creator of the entire content in this one file with the watermark? This is not a trick question, you may have acquired content created in EDU software that will by default always carry an EDU watermark (if that is what you are asking about).

And does this watermark appear in ALL of your other files, or just this one?

For this test I just made a plane and a ball from a freshly opened copy of Maya. It's nobody's file.

Interesting about the student version, though. I don't run into student files too often, to tell the truth.

you may want to post in the Arnold forum here: https://answers.arnoldrenderer.com/index.html

there is a larger community there for Arnold answers

In Maya 2018, you are using an older version of MtoA and Arnold.

That older version does not support single-user Autodesk licensing, and you have single-user Arnold licenses.

You can either upgrade your MtoA for Maya 2018, or request a previous version license.

You can get MtoA 4.2.1.1 for Maya 2018 here:
https://www.arnoldrenderer.com/arnold/download/archive/arnold-for-maya/4.2.1.1/

Then you can sign in to use your Arnold single-user license.

If you need to continue using the old MtoA for Maya 2018, then you need to ask for a previous version license.

The previous version license is a standalone RLM license (the type of license Arnold used before the acquisition of Solid Angle by Autodesk).

This standalone RLM license does not use a license server. It is a file that you put on your system.

I already have your MAC address, you gave it to me in your support case. You just need to confirm whether you want a previous version license or you are going to upgrade your MtoA for Maya 2018.
