Any chance to obtain perpetual license?

Hello,

Is there any chance to obtain perpetual maya LT license? i want to start making something commercially so i started to learning blender but after some days in blender, i must say i prefer maya. I am willing to pay for maya LT perpetual license (later when i earn some cash full maya) but really not for subscription.

It looks like its cheap, but if i want to do work in maya or maya LT for next 30 years, it will cost 9000€ or even 60,000€, thats unacceptable.

I read somewhere that autodesk want to decrease initial cost, but if so, then start selling both, subscription and perpetual licenses, that would be fair.

Im ok to pay for upgrades. However this software is not antivirus or so which needs to be updated every day so subscription does not make sense.

For now im going to blender, but if there will be perpetual license option, i will come back for maya.

Welcome to the Community !

We stopped selling perpetual licenses on February 1st 2016, and there are no plans to go back to that licensing model. You'll find more info about these changes here:

If you're not using Maya LT on a regular basis, the monthly subscription might be a good option for you. You can stop the subscription when you don't need anymore, then start a new subscription when you need to regain access to the software. Find more about subscription options here:
