Use Comma or Semicolon in environment variable?

I have a three-server redundant triad. I use an “ADSKFLEX_LICENSE_FILE” user environment variable to point my users to the triad.

My question is on Windows systems do I separate the server names with a comma or a semicolon in the environment variable definition?

This post says use the semicolon:

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/vault-products/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/H...

However, page 44 of the license manager manual says to be sure to use commas. http://download.autodesk.com/us/support/files/network_license_manager/readmes/LicenseAdministration....

So which one is right or does it really matter at all?

Redundant servers should be separated by commas (for Windows) as this example: port1@host1,port2@host2,port3@host3
