Unable to update Identity Manager Program

AutoCAD Access says that Identity Manager has an update. I tried to update it but due to company policy rules, only admins in the IT department are allowed to install, upgrade, or update any software.

I have my own account with Autodesk but I am not sure that my company does since they only purchase licenses off shelf.

So what happens is:

IT clicks on the Update button. It prompts for a user/password login. Then it shows that it is downloading and then updating. It goes up to about 15% and then runs back down and finally says Failure.

Does the IT department need a Autodesk account to update this?

Any suggestions?

You need admin permissions to install it. So I guess you need one of the IT persons to do it for you, or they could grant you local Admin permissions to do it yourself.

Yes, I know I need admin privilege but our company does not allow this.

So any changes or additions/removals must be done by our IT department.

I had contacted them and they could not update the program even after logging in as Admin.

I also found out that our company does have an Autodesk account now so it should not be a account issue.

Yesterday, they went as far as removing and reinstalling Autodesk Access and updating the laptop BIOS.

Still no resolution.

Ok - don't use Autodesk Access; it has issues. Download the update for Identity Manager (see Option 3) and have the IT-person install it. Should be a matter of just running the installer. If there are any errors, please post those?
