Unable to install AutoCAD Electrical 2023

I am trying to install AutoCAD Electrical 2023 on my machine and I'm getting an error that I don't meet the minimum system requirements. From looking in the logs and some support articles I think that it is related to Microsoft Access Database Engine. I downloaded the hotfix but the folder that I'm told to copy the AceDriverTest.exe into (C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2023\Acade) does not exist on my machine. Can anyone help?

The installation program should also install the Access driver, so that shouldn't be the problem. Do you get any error messages? Can you attach a screenshot of that error message here?

The hotfix should be installed AFTER AutoCAD Electrical 2023 is installed, with all of its updates.

Ah. I don't even get as far as installing. It goes through "Preparing to install..." and then presents me with the attached error message. I'm sure that I meet the minimum requirements and have tried it on another machine with even higher specs and get the same error message.

And if you click the "log file" link, can you also attach that text file here?

You get an error 1603 in there.

Try to follow the steps in this article:

OK so I have an update. I had been installing from a custom installer. I thought that I'd try downloading the regular package and see if I can install it from there. This time I got a more specific error message which I've attached. I had suspected that it was something to do with this. I then downloaded the 64-bit version of Microsoft Access Database Engine 2016 and when I tried to install it I received the following error message, which I suspected is what would happen.

We're not currently in a position to be able to upgrade from Office 2016. Is there going to be any way at all that I can still run AutoCAD Electrical 2023 without getting rid of Office 2016?

I was having the same issue. The minimum requirements for acade 2023 include Office 2016 64 bit. If you have Office 32 bit, you need to uninstall and install 64 bit. That will affect the access db engine. I don't think you can have a 32 bit and a 64 bit install of the engine. So, you don't need to upgrade Office 2016, just change the bit version. You should be able to download the 64 bit version under your current license.
