Every time I try to install Meshmixer in my computer it shows an error message saying "Extract: error writing to file arrow.obj" and stops. "English installer Windows 3.5" (I have a windows 10 installed) The same occurs with "Windows 3.3". How to solve this problem ?

Hi @Anonymous,

Have you ran the installer as an administrator with antivirus disabled?

How much space do you have on your C drive?

Hello @Anonymous,

Sorry to hear you are encountering an issue installing Meshmixer, some users have resolved this issue by trying both Meshmixer 3.3 or 3.5 installers on Windows 10.

Please use the latest Meshmixer 3.5 installer & follow the steps below:

  1. Reboot the computer, make sure apps are not auto running in the background
  2. Log in as Administrator (check your permissions, full control) or create a new profile
  3. Make sure your Windows 10 OS is updated
  4. Make sure you have an uninterrupted high-speed connection to the internet & try adjusting your LAN  & proxy settings etc.
  5. Clean up the TEMP folder. To open the TEMP folder, type %TEMP% in the search bar by the Windows Start Menu and hit Enter, then delete unnecessary (Windows)
  6. Temporarily disable/disconnect security features such as Antivirus, Firewall, VPN & UAC on your Windows operating system
  7. Use the latest installer for Windows 10 Meshmixer 3.5

If Meshmixer 3.5 or 3.3 doesn't work for you, please submit a bug.
