Student License

Hello, I'm a 16 years old  student in one of the city's schools and I want to learn 3DS Max.I saw Autodesk software for students.I want to ask if I can use it because I'm not sure if you must be a student who is studying 3d modeling in school or the requirement is just to be a student no matter what you are studying for.I want to work as a game developer in the future so I want to start learning 3DS Max from now.Best Regards, Nikola.

Welcome to the Autodesk User's Community..

Yes you are entitled to a 3 yr student license.  However please keep in mind the license is only for learning and any information you create using this free version can not be shared anywhere (like with your friends, at school, web, to develop games  that you are sharing with others and so on).

I know that I can't share them but can I take screenshots of them and send them to my friends or professional 3D modelers and ask them for advice and etc. ? I mean is sharing screenshots of them legal ?

No..  You can't share anything related to a student license even if its a screenshot of the data.  The software is only used for learning purposes.  In the end your friend or a 3D modeler could share that with others and somehow it ends up being posting on the internet, in a publication and etc.  Which means it breaks many rules that you accepted when you applied for the software.   Strict rules regarding educational license (especially for you who's not even taking a class related to it)..  Always error on the caution side and be safe and compliant.
