AutoCAD for Mac student license Serial number

Hi! I just downloaded AutoCAD 2016 for Mac and in the instructions for the full installer I can see that it comes with the Product Key but I cannot find the Serial Number anywhere. Also the instructions are very vague and I don't know if I'm missing any step in the installer where I might get this serial number or what License Type should I choose.

Hi Claudia,

If you logged in to your student Autodesk account and downloaded AutoCAD installer from the students portal:
https://www.autodesk.com/education/free-software/autocad-for-mac

then you should receive the serial number in a special email from Autodesk. Have you received it?

The letter should come within a short time, maybe in a day or two. In the meantime, you can use AutoCAD as trial. Later you will be able to activate it with your student serial number.
During installation you should choose "Standalone" licence type, select Trial, then each time will launch AutoCAD, you will be prompted to activate it. When you will receive a letter with serial - you can activate AutoCAD.
