Hello,

 

I have an old device that had Autodesk Maya 2025 installed and is running with a student license. I've downloaded the software from within a year ago, meaning the license is still valid (i.e. not yet expired).

 

Now, I have a new device and I am planning on switching to it for use of the software, but I encountered problems on my account on the verification.

 

I've used my personal email on the verification stage from my initial attempt, and the page says it was successfully verified since then and even now. But when I then open my products and services, no products are showing.

 

I contacted my school about this, and they said I should use my school account. But when I tried that option and inputted the credentials of the school for the verification process, it says I've already used all my attempts on verifying my account.

 

So I thought, Autodesk must have somehow linked my personal account to my school account since, upon enrollment to my school, the school did ask for a personal email, which is what I used for the initial verification (the one that allowed me to install Autodesk Maya on the old device).

 

But even if the accounts are linked, it still doesn't show any products to install on my personal account's products and services section, since this account is the one that the verification process, even now, deemed 'verified.'

 

So dear autodesk team/fellow autodesk students that had the same concerns, how can I fix this student license concern? Since it seems like the problem lies on Autodesk's back-end side and I nor my school cannot make fixes for it. I also have already emailed SheerID and they also mentioned that Autodesk is the only one who can help with my account issue, but the Autodesk Assistant keeps showing me 'live chats' that never has live/active agents in my time.

 

I hope for a fix to this problem ;-;

Hi @jamesleeroy08, please allow me to check if my understanding is correct because I don't have access to your account information or status.

 

  • You already have a student license with your personal email address, which hasn't been expired yet
  • When you sign into your existing account on your new device, no products are shown
  • You're trying to gain another student license with your school email address to use it on your new computer but you have reached the maximum number of attempts to get it verified
  • What you'd like to do is to use a student license on your new device

 

There are two options.

 

1. Use your existing student license on your new device

If you sign into your existing Autodesk Account with a verified student license on your new device, you can continue to use Autodesk products there. You don't need to obtain a new student license.

 

I'm not very sure why no products are showing on your account page but please make sure to download and install software from the Education Community. Please also sign out of all the products on your old device before signing in on your new machine.

If none of above solves your issue, please contact the education support so they can look into your account details (steps can be found below).

 

 

2. Obtain a new student license with your school email address and use it on your new device

Please contact the education support to reset your account so you can re-apply for a student license. The steps can be found here.

 

Notes:

I don't have an education license so it may not be possible but if you'd like to change an email address, you can do so on profile.autodesk.com. If that information is not editable, please contact the education support.

Hello! Sorry for the late reply, I was busy with schoolwork. But I've already tried to reach out to an agent through the AI assistant, but there are no active agents whenever I try.

 

I don't know for how long should I leave that chat open for one to appear, but I just don't have the time to spend in waiting for a possible agent through that chat due to tight schedules, and I can't even type my concern in advance since the assistant requires an agent to be there for me to start chatting.

 

Do you perhaps know another way to contact someone from education support so that I can address this issue? Or are there any other forums here in autodesk's website for education that I can post on in case of a higher chance of being noticed by education support?
