SSL Handshake failed

I'm semi-retired now and only dabble in 3d printing with my own models now.  I purchased the design suite back around 2012, originally.  I maintained my annual maintenance for several years and finally stopped when autodesk went to subscription.  I have my permanent copy and activation key on an older Win 7 system.  The motherboard went out on it and I've updated to a new Gen 12 intel system with win 11 on it.  I was surprised that I didn't have to create a virtual machine and install win 7 to get Inventor to install.  I have yet to run it through its paces and haven't tried activating it (still in trial mode), but it seems to be working so far.  In any case, the AD application manager indicates the SSL Handshake failed.  Has the server been shut down?  Is there some error on my end?  My last upgrade was Inventor 2015 with a permanent license.  Are updates still available?  If so, how do I access them?  Thank you

Need Windows 7 for 2015 and older, unfortunately. They don't make updates / patches for the newer OS's and older software.

What you show in your account portal, since you said you're on Subscription: (monthly or yearly? )

Hi!

Contact Autodesk Support to be sure about the version you may have instaled/activated.

No, I refused to do the subscription.  I had purchased the $10,000 ultimate suite and a 3 years later, told that it would no longer be supported and that I would now have to pay annually in addition to my "permanent" seat's original cost.  I understand that they are no longer going to support it going forward, but the updates that were previously created already exist and should be made available, I would think.

I have successfully installed the Suite on Win 11.  It runs fine so far under the "30 trial" license.  I see no reason for past updates to no longer be available for download.

I didn't say they aren't available. They will be in your Account manager where the 2015 (or 2012) was purchased from.

For the W11, be careful, the updated C++/.NET are known issues as they update and cause crashing on older software and newer OS's.  They aren't fully compatible.

The question is, what will happen after the 30 day trial...

I ran into the same SSL handshake error when reinstalling Inventor 2015 on a newer system. It's likely because Autodesk has shut down some older licensing or update servers, especially for perpetual licenses. The handshake usually fails when the server can't verify or complete the secure connection. If updates are still available, they may only be accessible manually or through support. Let me know if you need help locating the last available update files I may have some backed up. There are different reasons for this error to be occured some are as follows:-

1) Incorrect Date/Time

2) Invalid SSL/TLS certificate

3) Incorrect Cipher suite selection

4) Network connectivity

5) Server Configuration Issues

Even you can also find the ways to fix the error in detail. I hope it helps!
