Single User Sign In for AutoCAD Mechanical 2016

All,

 

Good afternoon!  I've got a user who has some problems activating the 2016 software.  They've recently switched from network to named user licensing, but we've run into a snag.  The company needs to keep with ACADM 2016 for a bit yet, but there's no option to "sign into" the software.  How does one activate the 2016 software when using name user licensing?  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.  Hope all is well and have a most blessed day!

Hi !

 

You need to uninstall and reinstall :

For Autodesk 2016 and earlier releases

For products earlier than 2017, uninstall the product and then reinstall it to reset the license. 

  1. Uninstall your Autodesk software.
  2. Delete ADUT folders, if any. You can find them here:
  • Windows: C:\Users\YourUserID\ AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\ADUT 
  • macOS: /User/username/Library/Application\ Support/Autodesk/ADUT
  1. Sign in to manage.autodesk.com and download the software.
  2. Follow the recommended installation workflow for Autodesk products.
  3. After the software is installed, start it and select the appropriate license type.

@christian thank you for the reply!  Unfortunately, I cannot see a way to activate the 2016 software with single sign-in, as you have to license the software before you install.  Only 2017 and afterwards, from what I can tell, are able to activate with single sign-in.  I would be ECSTATIC if I'm wrong, but the serial numbers for the licenses do not seem to be working.  We tried with a brand new installation and it didn't seem to make a difference.  Thanks again for reaching out and please let me know if you come up with any other thoughts.  Hope all is well and have a most blessed day!
