Setup Initialization - Upgrading to 3dsMax 2017 How long?

Upgrading from 2016 to 2017, zero indication of the status of the installation, just says "setup initialization". Same thing occurs when installing the previous pack. The process takes an inordinately long time, a fresh install is done in a fraction of the time this seems to take. setup initialization - 2hrs and counting.... (should've run this over the weekend I guess)

As indicated in those directions "The “Browser Download” option can be found if you select the “More Option” link under the “Install Now” button.  If the “More Option” link is not available to you, either change the platform to a given operating system or switch to all languages in order to see the “Browser Download” choice."  Did you follow those steps?

I see now the option when you choose "French, blah etc... a bit intuitive, why not just a browser button download for "English"
