Hi @brian

Thanks a lot for posting your question to the forums!   Generally, this is caused by  the below:

  • Required administrative permissions.
  • Third-party security software.
  • Localized value of C:\Program Files for Installation Path during Autodesk Online Deployment creation is not honored and creates a new folder.

Solution:

To install the software, try the following options:
  1. Remove the content in the temp folder
    1. Press Windows key + R  to open the Run command.
    2. Type “%temp%” in the search field and press OK.
    3. Select all files using ctrl + A and then press delete.
  2. Download the software using the "Download" method.
  3. Make sure to have Admin Rights (check with your IT department if necessary).
  4. Run the Setup.exe (if you have the software already downloaded in C:\Autodesk\... as "Browser Download") or one of the downloaded files by right-clicking and selecting "Run as Administrator".
Be also aware that some third-party security software may block the installation and may require adding permissions or uninstalling it before installing Autodesk software.
Refer to: Autodesk Licensing Service: Known Conflicting Applications.

We look forward to hearing back from you with more information so we can help you as a community!

@erwinbuilders.be

Put a support ticket in then,

But likley it's going to be something is blocking it / permissions.

100's of thousands of others are able to install it with the same installer... why we tend to point back that the user/customer side for why it's failing

Having this problem, too.
First trys where with my windows account with user rights, where I have many licensing error messages.
Switching my account to admin rights (what is not recommended due to safety), solved the licensing problems.
But content installation problems (error 4000) continued on two PCs. Had also support tickets including remote control session, the 4000 again and log collection. So hope to get any information (where?), when this bug is fixed.
I really never had such amount of installation problems with any other software and hope for fix soon.

I have created a support ticket and have used the log collection tool. I will update once I hear back on my support ticket.

Had another contact to customersupport and they sent me an upgraded installer link for german content file for Revit LT 2024.
The installer finished without an error and the content folder was filled. So looks good.
I asked, if it is OK to post this linke here in the forum, and that was OK for them.

Of course I dont know, if this will be the bug fixed next release of this installer. So I would take this take it as beta or just test.

Hi, Hi There, after I tried to install Update 2 for Revit 2024, I encountered a series of errors. unfortunately, Revit was no longer running and I deleted it using this method (https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-Complete-a-...) but now I can't install it even though I deleted it from the whole computer and during installation it goes back after about 24% and when it reaches 1% it shows error message 4000. I would be grateful if someone could advise.

Best regard,

Ryan, F

Update(s) Revit2024.2 was pulled ...     You can create a deployment and get 2024.1.1 but 2024.2 and the others aren't in the account portal anymore

Thanks for the Replay. My main problem is installing Revit 2024, not installing updates.

Go here

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/installation-licensing/2024-product-download-links/m-p/11835996/highl...

Get the full offline installer.

Download all parts,

Make sure you have Admin Rights and try installing it.

Thanks for your time, I tried but it didn't work. I think something still is left in my system after I deleted(uninstalled) Revit 2024. Even though I removed the Microsoft Visual C++ it still goes through the same process during installation(it goes back after about 24% and when it reaches 1% it shows error message 4000) and an error 4000 appears.

I've tried all the above solutions, but unfortunately nothing worked. I deleted everythingfrom TEMP folder, tried to klick on the suggested links, but they all expired. I did it all as an admin. To no avail. As soon as the download reaches 30% it springs back to 1%. Next, a window with 4000 error pops up. Can anybody help me, please? I'm really desperate
