Revit 2022 Fails to install properly

Hi All,

I'm trying to install Autodesk Revit 2022 - however deployment keeps to be continuing to be failing. I am in a rock and a hard place with this as students return on Tuesday, so I'm trying to acquire some insight as to why this install keeps on failing.

It's odd, because I've tried both the deployment and the separate install file and while Inventor seemed to install fine, Revit wants to not play the game.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

After reviewing your install log, I found that the Revit 2022 install failed during the license registration step:
1: LicensingCustomAction.licRegister [I] [14:54:18:726]: Running "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\AdskLicensing\11.0.0.4854\helper\AdskLicensingInstHelper.exe" register -pk 829N1 -pv 2022.0.0.F -cf "\\e4125s01sv012\Programs\Autodesk2022\image\RVT_2022_en-US\x64\RVT\RevitConfig.pit" -el US -lm NETWORK -sn xxx-xxxxxxxx -sk 829N1 -d -lt SINGLE -ls @E4125S01SV010
1: LicensingCustomAction.licRegister [E] [14:54:49:587]: exit code: 100, output: (500)(error while saving feature:timed-out after 30.0 sec(s) waiting for Agent to connect)
hint: might be caused by invalid feature for current pit file. Action ended Return value 3
1: LicensingCustomAction.licRegister [E] [14:54:49:587]: Registering a product with key 829N1 and version 2022.0.0.F failed
CustomAction licRegister.8B858D99_2C63_4281_AE43_6782314CCC1B returned actual error code 1603 (note this may not be 100% accurate if translation happened inside sandbox)

I would recommend reviewing the values being passed in the string highlighted in red.

Unfortunately I could see not what was contained in the PIT file in the path the string referred to.

However after running an uninstall script on the computers requiring the upgrade, we were able to deploy 2022 successfully.

bat script details for reference:

wmic product where "name LIKE '%%Autodesk%%'" call uninstall /nointeractive
wmic product where "name LIKE '%%Revit%%'" call uninstall /nointeractive
wmic product where "name LIKE '%%DWG TrueView%%'" call uninstall /nointeractive
wmic product where "name LIKE '%%Autodesk Desktop App%%'" call uninstall /nointeractive
wmic product where "name LIKE '%%Autodesk Uninstall Tool%%'" call uninstall /nointeractive
shutdown /r /t 15

exit

Kudos to Brendan Lewis for sharing that script (you know who are 🙂 And Michael Power for testing it out.

Post your installation log file so we can try to help. For 2022 they will be under %localappdata%/Autodesk/ODIS
