Revit 2020 installation error 1603

I keep getting an error 1603 when trying to install Revit. I have uninstalled all old versions of Microsoft Visual C++ from 2010 onwards (as per some other suggestions) but am still getting the error message.

I've attached the log file. Any ideas how to fix this?

Thanks

Hey!

I don't know if you resolved it yet, I truly hope you have, but if you haven't, I found that it was the license manager that was messed up. Revit made changes to the license validation software. You need to manually download it from their website. Once installed, all the issues were resolved.

I woke up this morning after months of Revit 2020 working just fine to this error as well. I have tried every single suggestion in this thread short of wiping my drive and re-installing Windows. I have:

-tried uninstalling everything and reinstalling through the Install Now tool

-updating the license service

-reinstalling through the Browser Download

-uninstalling all the C++ stuff and reinstalling through both of those

I'm currently on hold with Customer Support but figured I'd give replying to this thread a shot as well. Any help from anyone would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Without providing the installation log file here there's no way we can say why the 1603 error is occurring for you.

Hi, there.

I've got the same issue but with Revit 2021.

I've tried to re-install C++ and install latest Autodesk Licensing Service.

There is install log below.

Hope for someone's help)
