Thank you for your response. 

please find below a screen shot of all the Windows 10 Security Updates that have been installed ever since and as you would note, the windows Version 1803 has not been installed yet. So, it appears that this may not be the reason for the conflict with Recap software. What would you therefore recommend as the next steps for further trouble shooting?

 

As I had mentioned, the issue is that the Recap stops responding after launch although the Recap Pro Photo works perfectly.
