Hello, maybe you can assist me, I found the trial download for 2018 and successfully downloaded it. My settings were migrated from 2017 and now when I start 2018 so I can update it with my SN & Product Key AutoCAD keeps stopping and giving me the message that "You must go online to continue. Please connect now." and there is a Try Again button but every time I click it , I get the same message. I am connected to the internet with a strong connection. I then restarted my computer and tried it again but the same message pops up, and I also tried repairing it but nothing seems to work. I have installed many versions of AutoCAD here at my office but never get this message.  Any ideas? Thanks

Usually that means you have to uninstall and reinstall the software but AutoCAD 2018 was just released this morning so using the trial method/install method is most likely impacting it.

Update:  Meaning the users that support this forum are just getting into supporting the 2018 and we will all need to have sometime to go through these issues and find actual solutions.

I was reading your other posting and realized you have another message too..   Please follow the information in this article.  Good luck and report back on your progress.

Just remember the article is talking about the 2017 version so you need to make an adjustment regarding the product key and folder name.

Not sure what Autodesk product and version that the trial is not working on, but @natasha.l has indicated in this posting that Autodesk is aware of trial periods starting out at zero (0) days left on the trial period time.

Welcome to the community...

Unfortunately if it comes up as 0 days left there's nothing else you can do unless you reformat your hard drive.

Here are a few suggestions..

1.  Try other version of Inventor using the Autodesk Virtual Agent method to download your software.

2.  Contact a local reseller and see if they have 1 day event or a training session that you can sit in.

Oh I didn't realize that actual wording was in a reply that I did in that posting, but I wasn't directing you to that given reply..  I was trying to show you what Natashal84 stated in her latest reply that Autodesk is aware of this trial 0 day issue and is working on a solution

In addition we are asked many times how can I resolve this on my computer and the only way is to reformat it but I wasn't telling you do that, thus my reason why I asked.  In no way would I even recommend someone doing that (its not worth it) and now the new replies include additional options.  Update:  And the wording of reformatting your hard drive is removed because its not really a viable solution.  Smiley Wink
