No more access to perpetual license products?

Hi, I can no longer find any of my perpetual license products or downloads under Products and services.

I have also tried the "classic view" where they could be found until recently.

I would like to know if this is an intentional move by Autodesk to cut off old perpetual license holders from re-downloading, or if it is just a mistake?

Specifically, I was looking for a 3dsmax 2023 USD standalone installer, since I have a license for Max 2023, but I can't find some of the USD features that are listed in the documentation.

@markusWhat happened to perpetual licences? As of January 2016, Autodesk stopped selling new perpetual licences. In May 2017, we stopped selling maintenance plans. All Autodesk software is available to buy as a subscription on a plan.

For downloading USD for 3ds Max, have alook at this..!!

Thanks and Regards,

Rushabh Thakkar.

You should still have access to it in your account manager if they are still valid licenses for them. They are doing change overs. So they might be a tad delayed.

For the finding of the products, it's changed some.

Try:

https://manage.autodesk.com/products

I am not looking to buy another license, and I'm fully aware that maintenance has also stopped. Regardless I'm just looking for access to my existing licenses and software, and I would like to know if Autodesk has decided to remove all access to download them once maintenance has expired?

As for the desktop app  you linked to in help the section, it is not showing me any USD updates.

It shows "No results found". Until recently this is where I still found my products.

Are you sure you're using the correct account for manage.autodesk.com?

When I look at the 'old' products page, all expired perpetual stuff is still available for download:

@Simon_Weel wrote: Interesting. I'm pretty sure I have the right account, it's my private small company account, and I know this is where I had my products, one 3dsmax license where I paid for maintenance until it no longer was possible. I had an old Sketchbook license as well.

@markus

What shows on this page?

https://manage.autodesk.com/products

Also, are you the one who dealt with the purchases?  Got the emails from Autodesk confirming them. If not, then you need to know who is, and get them to assign you the licenses

@mdavis22569  Yes, it's my own personal company, it's not a corporation. I have all the receipts and everything in order. No one else dealt with this except me.

Btw, I checked a different corporate account (unrelated to my personal company) and their account still has access to their old products.

I'll try to contact support to find out what has happened to my personal company account. I did chat with one support guy the other day, but he was a bit clueless and didn't understand english very well. I hope a new support ticket will lead to some more clarity.

Sign in on a different browser or incognito and check that page.

@mdavis22569  It looks like this.

markus_1-1675945286430.png

markus_2-1675945526531.png

Both the new and the old page is empty. I don't have a subscription,  so it's only under the classic view  I would expect to find my products.

Oh wow, you were right, signing on in incognito mode actually solved it.

My products are there now! It must have been some kind of browser/system/cookie/whatever issue I was experiencing. Maybe due to having multiple Autodesk accounts?

Anyways, thanks for helping me out @mdavis22569 !!

I'm the CAD manager for my company and they were there up until recently.

Not sure what you mean by under the header about SOME OLDER. I cannot see anything like that.

Did you try incognito mode in the browser, or logging in with a different browser like Firefox instead of Chrome? That solved the issue for me. I'm not sure why exactly this happened. It might have had something to do with having multiple Autodesk accounts, one for my personally owned licenses, and another for a company I'm employed with.

It just goes back to the modern view (before clicking on classic view) with no products listed.

Tried having a chat with support and they keep insisting that the licenses have expired, when I’ve told them that they are perpetual licenses. They are 2019 versions!
