Network License Manager 2017/2018?

I am trying to install NLM for our Maya 2017 render farm upgrade. When I go to generate a license file I select products to add and only see Maya 2018. Does this cover all version of Maya previous to it?

If you're on support, you'll get a license file that includes the current and the three previous versions. You wouldn't have to get four separate license files.

Yes if your maya is on a current subscription contract

Is support and subscription the same thing as a maintenance plan?

Not sure what the word "support" was used...  Smiley Very Happy

If you have an active maintenance plan for a network perpetual license then yes the license file will contain 2018-2014 version.  If you don't have an active maintenance plan, then you are only entitled to the last version registered when you went of the plan.

If you have an active multi-user subscription plan, then yes the license file will contain 2018-2014 version.  No active subscription..  Well no license file..  Smiley Very Happy

In case anybody ask..  For 2018, Autodesk is allowing 4 legacy versions for network only license.

Ok thank you. This is what I see under my portal. I see what you mean how it covers 2018 back to 2015.

Hello @Anonymous,

Thanks for being a part of the community.

Maintenance plans, have access to the current and eligible previous versions of your Autodesk software, install it on your home and office computer, and use it at multiple locations. Maintenance Plans receive Basic Support & have the option of Advanced Support on select products or plans Contract Managers and Software Coordinators have access to this information.

Subscription customers are entitled to the same versions, the current & 3 back (2015-2018). A subscription also receives Basic Support & have the option of Advanced Support on select products or plans Contract Managers and Software Coordinators have access to this information.

So they both receive the same level of support it just depends on the plan & product.

You can Generate a Network License File in Autodesk Account & the license file will indicate that it is PACKAGE this means it will include these versions in your license file.
