NETWORK ERROR CANNOT DOWNLOAD CHECK CONNECTIONS AND TRY AGAIN.

Anonymous

I am trying to install the 2015 version of 3Ds Max for students, but when it gets to nearly the end it says "Network Error, cannot download. Check connections and try again." My internet connection is just fine as I can still browse. I have tried turning off my protection and firewall in fear that it may be blocking it yet no luck. Any idea what might be causing this?

Hi @Anonymous

Welcome to Autodesk Community!

Have you tried an alternate method of download? Such as the "Download Now" or "Browser Download", or from the Virtual Agent.

Let us know if that works for you.

I have not tried the virtual agent yet, ill give that a shot. Do i download
both part 1 and 2, or part 1 then install that, then on to part 2?

@Anonymous You need to download both part 1 and 2. Upon completion, please save all the files in one folder before you run the installation. Let us know if you still need help!

Hi @Anonymous

Please, make sure your firewall and anti-virus programs are completely turned off before downloading the software from our Virtual Agent.

I hope this helps!

@Anonymous

Thank you for the links. Unfortunately, they both link just to the main Contact Us page.

Could you please confirm that you've tried the download with both the firewall and anti-virus completely disabled?

Thank you,

Hey Dani, try what I did. Turn off fire wall, anti virus, and your UAC (which you can search for under the start menu) At the UAC turn to never notify. Then try installing what ever program using the Virtual Agent http://knowledge.autodesk.com/topics/account-management/software-downloads/download-methods/virtual-...
Theres a link that says Visit the Vitrual Agent.
Hope this helps, it did for me!

Hello -- I have been trying to download Revit 2015 using Firefox and have been getting the "Network Error" screen so I'm in the middle of dowloading it via the Virtual Agent recommended in various responses on this board.  I chose 64-bit and am in the midst of "Part I".  I've also deleted history, cookies, etc., as advised.  Fingers are crossed!  Any other advice?  I've been trying this for the last 2 days...

Hi @Anonymous and welcome to the Autodesk Community!

Also try the following steps:

  • In the preferences or options area of your preferred browser, remove pop-up blockers and allow access to all *autodesk.com sites.
  • In the preferences or options area of your preferred browser, delete cookies, temporary internet files, and history.
  • Turn off your personal firewall or VPN, if you use one.
  • Disable UAC

Let us know how it goes! Thanks!
