Naviswork  2018 giving installation failure - 1603, unidentifiable by Autodesk installation manager, Files enclosed Please help.

It looks like you're experiencing an installation error. As there are many different issues that can cause an installation error, it is helpful to provide as much information as possible:

  1. Product Version
  2. Operating system you are using
  3. Name of the Product
  4. Type of License

Hello @Anonymous, 

 

 

Welcome. The computer needs to receive installation information & access Autodesk information externally. Please follow the steps below: 

 

1. Reboot the computer & log in as Administrator 

2. Making sure you have full control permissions to these file locations C:\Program Files\Autodesk &      C:\ProgramData\Autodesk

3. Temporarily disable security settings like Antivirus, Firewall & UAC on your Windows operating system

4. Adjust Lan Settings & Proxy Settings, or try a different network location

5. Whitelist the sites listed in these articles:

Your installation is failing for 2 reasons..  You're using the web installer method and its failing to download/install the Autodesk Navisworks Freedom 2018 Language Pack.

 

Go into Windows Control Panel/Program and Features/Add & Remove programs.  Do you see this language pack?

 

Yes:  Uninstall it

No:  Run Microsoft Fixit https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17588/fix-problems-that-block-programs-from-being-installed... and select the uninstall function.    When the list of software comes up check to see if the language pack is there.  If it is, remove..  Its not listed there, cancel Microsoft Fixit.

 

Now to install your product, please use method #1 as indicated in this article

 

If the installation does fail using that method, please post your installation log file here so we can review it.

 

Posting info: Sometimes the installation log file contains the serial # that was assigned to you.  Open your log file using Windows Notepad and perform a search on "/SN".  Depending on the number of installation attempts, your serial # may be located throughout the log file.  If present, remove or "X" out your serial # prior to posting.

the software did install this time and thank you so much for helping me. But that language Pack didn't showed in either Microsoft registry fixing tool or installed files.
